Apexio awarded the NASA MSFC 2010 Small Business Subcontractor Excellence Award

Apexio was awarded the NASA MSFC 2010 Small Business Subcontractor Excellence Award in support of the UNITeS contract as a subcontractor to SAIC.   Apexio was awarded the honor due to our delivery in the areas of technical performance, schedule performance, cost, customer satisfaction, project leadership and quality improvement. This award was presented by NASA’s Small Business Office and received by Apexio’s Director of Operations, Stephen Johnston.

Ex-NASA CTO Launches OpenStack Appliance Company Nebula

Today at OSCon former NASA CTO Chris Kemp announced his new company Nebula, which will sell an OpenStack based appliance for cloud computing. The appliances are based on the OpenCompute standards. The idea is to make it possible for an organization to be able to purchase a bunch of these appliances and be up and running on an industry standard cloud environment without the need for extensive consulting and expertise.
